Since the development of the PP Storm Case, the common raw materials of the box on the market are PP, modified PP, PE and ABS. Each of these raw materials has its own advantages and disadvantages, so we can make a comparison of various raw materials.
PP:
Chemical name: polypropylene (PP), characteristics: low density, strength, stiffness, hardness, heat resistance are better than low pressure polyethylene (PE), can be used at about 100 degrees. It has good electrical properties and high-frequency insulation, not affected by humidity, but brittle at low temperature, not wear-resistant, easy to aging. It is suitable for making general mechanical parts, corrosion-resistant parts and insulating parts.
Modified PP:
The fiber material added into PP plastics can significantly improve the strength of plastic materials, so it is called reinforcement modification. Materials with large diameter thickness ratio can significantly improve the bending modulus (rigidity) of plastic materials, which can also be called reinforcement modification.
Glass fiber is the main reinforcement material, which can significantly improve the tensile strength of PP plastics. Generally, the content of glass fiber is less than 40%. It is generally considered that when the fiber length is greater than 0.2 mm, the effect is better when the diameter of glass fiber is more than 10 microns. With the increase of glass fiber content, the processing fluidity of reinforced PP decreased correspondingly, but it was still a good fluidity plastic.
Because glass fiber reinforced PP can improve mechanical strength and heat resistance, and glass fiber reinforced PP has good water vapor resistance, chemical corrosion resistance and creep resistance, it can be used as engineering plastics in many occasions.
PE:
Polyethylene (PE) is a kind of thermoplastic resin prepared by polymerization of ethylene. In industry, it also includes copolymers of ethylene and a small amount of α - olefins. Polyethylene is odorless, nontoxic, waxy in handle, with excellent low temperature resistance (the minimum service temperature can reach - 100 ~ - 70 ° C), good chemical stability, and can resist the corrosion of most acids and bases (not resistant to acids with oxidation properties). It is insoluble in common solvents at room temperature, with small water absorption and excellent electrical insulation.
ABS:
ABS plastic is a terpolymer of acrylonitrile (a), butadiene (b) and styrene (s). The relative content of the three monomers can be changed arbitrarily to make various resins. ABS has the common properties of three components: a makes it resistant to chemical corrosion and heat, and has a certain surface hardness; B makes it with high elasticity and toughness; s makes it have the processing and molding characteristics of thermoplastic and improves the electrical properties.
KAXIKE safety protection case are made of improved engineering plastics, which have good weather resistance and can work in the range of - 40 ℃ ~ 95 ℃. The case can resist ultraviolet radiation, strong impact, abrasion resistance, anti-aging and flame retardancy. Waterproof and dustproof grade IP67, impervious to dust, dust-free entry, protective immersion, standard pressure time no water entry, perfect protection for instrument and equipment.
